This policy explains what LeakBolt ("we", "us") collects when you use leakbolt.com or call our phone line, how we use it and the choices you have. Questions: [email protected].
What we collect
- What you give us: your name, phone number, ZIP code, the plumbing problem, when you need help, whether you own the home and any notes you add.
- Phone calls: your caller ID number, the call time and length, and a recording and transcript if the call is recorded or you leave a voicemail.
- Consent record: the exact consent wording you agreed to, the time, the page address and your IP address.
- Technical data: basic information your browser sends, such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, used for security and to measure our ads.
How we use it
- To confirm your phone number and send your request to up to 3 local plumbing companies we work with, as you agreed.
- To connect your call to a plumbing company, or to call or text you back about your request.
- To prevent fraud and duplicate requests, keep required records of your consent and improve the service.
Who we share it with
- Plumbing companies: up to 3 independent local plumbing companies we work with receive your request details so they can contact you. They use it under their own privacy practices.
- Service providers: companies that run our phone line, text messages, email, hosting and database (for example Twilio, Cloudflare, Supabase and Resend), only to provide those services to us.
- Legal reasons: when required by law or to protect our rights and users.
Plumbing companies pay LeakBolt for verified requests, so sending them your request may count as a "sale" of personal data under some state laws, including Texas. We share it only with the plumbing companies described above, only for your request, and never with data brokers. To opt out of any future sharing, email [email protected].
Texts and calls
By checking the consent box you agree that LeakBolt and up to 3 local plumbing companies it works with may call or text you about your request, including by automated technology. Consent is not a condition of buying anything. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, or HELP for help. We never share your mobile number or consent with anyone for their own marketing. Plumbing companies get it only to contact you about your request.
How long we keep it
We keep request and consent records for up to five years to meet record-keeping duties under telemarketing laws, then delete them. You can ask us to delete your information sooner, unless we must keep it by law.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or to stop being contacted, by emailing [email protected]. Texas residents and residents of other states with privacy laws may have additional rights, and we will respond within the time those laws require. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
Security
We use encrypted connections and access controls to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure.
Children
This service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
